For dedicated mobile gamers, thermal throttling is the ultimate enemy. During intense sessions of high-fidelity titles, modern smartphones can generate immense heat, causing the processor to slow down, frame rates to drop, and the device to become uncomfortable to hold. This heat doesn’t just ruin your competitive edge; it can also lead to long-term battery degradation, shortening the lifespan of your expensive gaming phone.
The ASUS ROG AeroActive Cooler X (2025) is the definitive cooling solution designed specifically for the ROG Phone 8 and 9 series. This portable, lightweight accessory utilizes an advanced thermoelectric cooling system to drastically reduce surface temperatures in seconds. Beyond just temperature control, it transforms your phone into a console-like experience with dual physical buttons, built-in RGB lighting, and essential ports that keep your cables out of the way while you dominate the leaderboard.
Key Features
- Advanced Thermoelectric Cooling: Significantly lowers the back cover temperature to ensure sustained peak CPU and GPU performance.
- Dual Physical Buttons: Gain an unfair advantage with two extra ergonomic buttons that provide a tactile, console-like control scheme.
- Built-in Kickstand: Easily prop up your phone on any flat surface for comfortable viewing or controller-based gaming.
- Integrated 3.5mm Jack: Restores the headphone jack for lag-free wired audio, essential for competitive gaming.

Why It’s Worth Buying
The ROG AeroActive Cooler X is worth buying because it is the only way to unlock 100% of the potential of your ROG Phone 8 or 9. Without active cooling, even the most powerful gaming phones will eventually throttle their speed to protect the hardware. This accessory ensures your frame rates stay locked at their maximum, even during hour-long marathons. Furthermore, the ergonomic additions—like the physical triggers and the relocated headphone jack—solve the most common complaints of mobile gamers, making the device much more comfortable for long-term use. It is an essential investment for anyone who takes mobile e-sports seriously and wants to protect their phone’s battery from the damaging effects of excessive heat.
